WolfGang Cinema to finance and produce Deborah Goodwin’s sophomore directorial feature, The Pastor, starring Arturo Muyshondt, Micah Hauptman, Angelic Zambrana and Franky G.

New York filmmaker Deborah Goodwin (Vampires In Venice) will direct a new faith-inspired, action drama starring newcomer Arturo MuyshondtMicah Hauptman (Everest, Parker), Angelic Zambrana (Precious) and Franky G (Dead Man Down, The Italian Job), with a cameo from Hispanic spiritual leader and influencer Pastor Carlos Ortiz. The feature begins production this week in Brooklyn.

The Pastor, a paroled former gang leader in a Hispanic neighborhood in Brooklyn, tries to rebuild a church in the middle of gang territory where he is met with much resistance. Hoping to establish a green zone to protect the youth and to curb gang violence in the community, rival gang leaders jeopardize his progress and endanger his family. Escalating threats test his newfound faith, and force him to fight against his violent instincts to keep from becoming the killer he once was.

Written by Goodwin based on a story by Muyshondt, the film will be financed and produced by Muyshondt’s WolfGang Cinema, with Courtney Andrialis also producing, and Mike Harrop and Marcelo Paladini as Executive Producers and Quentin Little as Co-Producer.

WolfGang Cinema (WGC) has developed, and will finance and produce Goodwin’s next feature, The Two Lives of Maxi Kaplan, and is also developing the film adaptation of the best selling memoir, Warrior Pose, written by Brad Willis (aka Bhava Ram). WGC is a film production company based in Los Angeles, New York and Miami, with a mission to develop and produce cross-cultural films that are relevant for today’s multicultural audiences.
