2014 Bradenton Arts & Movieville Film Festival   
Movieville International Film Festival ( Producers Susan Short & Alan Baily ) & The City of Bradenton have joined together for the newly created Bradenton Arts & Movieville Film Festival.  This 10 day festival (5/8-5/18) will celebrate and showcase a variety of delightful events featuring Local Business’s, Venues, Art & Talent Plus award winning films such as “Mother of George” a poetic and moving feature by Andrew Dosunmu (Restless City) starring Danai Gurira (Walking Dead and The Visitor).“The Enemy”. featuring Jake Gyllenhall will be shown as well as ” Paloma”, starring Steven Bauer of “Ray Donavan” Meet celebrities and enjoy performances at all the festival’s events
 
The accent will be on all the events celebrating every aspect of Film, Art and Entertainment Starting 5/8 with a VIP Invite Only Event at the Powel Crosley to honor Rick Derringer Rock and Roll celebrity with a Life Time Achievement award and ending with the Red Carpet Gala amidst the Da Vinci exhibit at the Bradenton Auditorium.

Saturday, May 10th will be the ShowBiz Expo at the Bradenton Area Convention Center from 12-5 pm. An Array of sponsors, exhibits and Art & entertainment, It is free to the public. There will be multiple performances, Exhibits & presentaions inc Music, Magic, Speed Painting, Motivational Speakers, Fashion, Beauty, Health and Wellness. Local Business, Restaurants and Talent as well as named celebrities. will be featured …Stay for the evenings event  May 10th at 7 pm will showcase Legends of Country and Rock Concert featuring Jeff Cook of Alabama, rock star Rick Derringer, Marty Balins of Jefferson Starship as well as local celebrities Billy Rice, Del Couch, of the Del Couch Music Foundation for a diamonds and denim kind of an evening featuring a bespoke country rock experience at the Bradenton Area Convention Center’s premiere ballroom.

Other festivities include tiki party at  Tarpon Pointe, South Florida Museum and Planetarium’s screening of “Heart of the Shore” a documentary following Hurricane Sandy & the Jersey Shore, three full days of screenings at the Manatee Performing Arts Center. A downtown street party, with a grand stage featuring local young musical talent, a waterfront party at Pier 22 along the Manatee River.

Portion of the proceeds will be donated to Manatee Children’s Services.
