The Florida Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics Voices Opposition to Amendment 2,
Joins Medical, Religious, Judicial, and Law Enforcement Leaders and Communities
TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (October 25, 2016) – The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP), Inc., today announced their strong opposition to Amendment 2, joining local, state and national entities who agree that this amendment is nothing more than legalized pot.
Madeline Joseph, MD, FAAP and President of the Florida Chapter AAP agreed with the Florida Medical Association’s statement that “There is nothing medical about this proposal.” Joseph wrote that “FCAAP is also extremely concerned about the presence of THC-infused edibles in the state of Florida as they have proven to be a major health risk for children in other states.”
FCAAP joins others who have publicly stated their opposition and concerns AGAINST Amendment 2, including:
