Sing With Us!

The theme of our 30th Anniversary Season is Celebrating the Past, Endowing the Future. We have had so much to celebrate over these past thirty years, and one thing we are particularly grateful for is the generosity and support Key Chorale has received from our community.

In addition to inspiring concerts, we are also committed to giving back to our community……to YOU!
We know there are many people who love to sing but are unable to make the full-time commitment required to be a chorale member. This is why the Sarasota Choral Festival is so important to us. We want to create something that once a year will give these individuals an opportunity to sing with a professional choral organization.

If you love to sing, and have always dreamed of experiencing singing in a large choir, this is your chance to rehearse and perform Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna under the baton of Artistic Director and Conductor, Joseph Caulkins.

No auditions are required and the registration fee is only $25 for adults and $15 for students, which includes a copy of the music you will be singing.

A Concert and Film Screening

Shining Night : A Portrait of Composer Morten Lauridsen
Key Chorale is delighted to present the inaugural Sarasota Choral Festival featuring the works of the most frequently performed modern choral composer, Morten Lauridsen. Choral singers from around the area will join the Chorale for three rehearsals culminating in a performance of Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. Key Chorale will also make a cameo appearance performing O Magnum Mysterium and Sure on This Shining Night.

The performance will take place in conjunction with a screening of the documentary, Shining Night: A Portrait of Composer Morten Lauridsen. Winner of two Best Documentary awards, called a ‘heartening rarity’ by the Wall Street Journal, this documentary offers a contemplative reflection on the life and music of Morten Lauridsen, a National Medal of Arts recipient named an ‘American Choral Master’ by the National Endowment for the Arts.
