(New York, New York) – June 9, 2016 – Denmark Native MØ releases the music video to her current single “Final Song” today. Click here to watch.  The video was directed by Tomas Whitmore and shot in Los Angeles, CA.  The track currently has over 10 million streams on Spotify worldwide.

MØ comments on the video, “I really wanted this video to tell the story of being reconnected with your inner strength – that spark within you that keeps you going. I wanted it to illustrate what the song means to me: from being fragile; to surrendering to the open space; to slowly regaining your power; before demanding the spirit-animal come back to you. It’s different from my previous videos – it’s a bit more spiritual and fragile – but I think it’s important to change sometimes, and especially when the song calls for a soul searching moment.”

Earlier in May, MØ announced North American dates as part of her major worldwide tour.  The US dates will start on November 15th in San Diego, CA and end on December 6th in Washington DC with more dates to be announced soon.  Tickets are available for sale now.  Before then, she plays some of the world’s biggest music festivals this summer including Lollapalooza, Capitol Hill Block Party and more in the US. MØ, AKA Karen Marie Ørsted, is one of the fastest rising pop stars on the planet. The co-writer and voice of the worldwide smash Major Lazer track “Lean On” – the most-streamed song ever on Spotify – is currently putting the finishing touches to her eagerly anticipated second album, due for release later this year.

Ørsted grew up on Funen, one of Denmark’s largest islands, and wrote her first song when she was seven years old. A pop obsessive as a child, she became involved with politics, punk and the anti-fascism movement in her teens, leading her to form the “noisy, trashy electro-pop punk band” Mor aged 18. But already she was restless and writing new songs on her own, trying out a variety of sounds and styles on her laptop in her bedroom that, in 2009, necessitated her transformation into MØ. In 2014, she released her debut album No Mythologies To Follow – a unique blend of bedroom beats, soul-punk-electro-R&B and pop harmonies – to rave reviews. The record features singles Pilgrim, Waste of Time, Don’t Wanna Dance and XXX 88 feat. Diplo. In the two years since the album was released, MØ has played sold out tours solo and with Major Lazer, and won over festival crowds worldwide.
