Workforce Professional Attains Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) designation
This is the most highly-regarded industry certification for recruiting top talent.
CareerSource Suncoast Talent Consultant, Sean Tingler, recently attained the Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) designation through AIRS, a global leader in recruitment training. This certification will allow Tingler to work more effectively with local employers to uncover the best job candidates.
Tingler has been with CareerSource Suncoast since June 2015. A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with an MBA in Marketing, Tingler is passionate about workforce because he gets to help people better their lives by finding new careers and opportunities. With the labor pool tightening up, internet recruiting has become a valuable resource to locate top talent for the employers he works with.
“Internet sourcing isn’t just about drilling through resume databases to find the best candidates,” Tingler said. “With this certification I can utilize inexpensive or even free methods to quickly connect employers with skilled talent. Just putting up an online job posting no longer cuts it, but if you know the methods to look for the right candidates then they won’t be hard to find.”
In addition to using advanced search commands, the certification course provides recruiters with the knowledge on how to effectively use Boolean logic at search engines to find candidates, how to create effective PowerSearch strings as well as XRay and FlipSearch strings.
CareerSource Suncoast has a team of six Talent Consultants who work one-on-one with employers in Manatee and Sarasota counties to connect them with our region’s top talent.
