Metz Culinary Management Opens New

Florida Culinary Center

August 13, 2018, SARASOTA, FLA. — With two Culinary Centers in Pennsylvania and other business lines up and down the east coast, Metz Culinary Management has further expand its reach by opening a new Culinary Center in Sarasota, Fla.

According to Jack Brill, Metz’s Vice President of Business Development, the Florida market is optimal, given its large population of seniors and the many services Metz can provide, including a program to help ensure the nutritional needs of seniors.

Other beneficiaries of the centers include local Head Start programs, corporate dining clients and independent schools. The Florida Culinary Center also provides meals through the Red Cross during emergencies in the region. With hurricane season rapidly approaching, the addition of this Center is sure to prove valuable to Floridians.

The state-of-the-art 15,000-square-foot kitchen facility boasts top-of-the-line appliances, including cook and chill equipment and blast freezers.

Mike Raub, General Manager of Metz Culinary, notes that these tools allow them to distribute food of the best possible quality, instead of “…trying to hold hot food for a long period of time or serv[ing] completely frozen food.”

This high-quality cuisine results, in part, from the Culinary Center’s head chef, Nello Allegrucci. A certified executive chef with over 30 years’ experience, Allegrucci has been working with Metz in its business and industry division for a large portion of his career. As Raub puts it, “He absolutely loves food and being able to put out the highest quality food that he can. He has a great eye for display and [the] presentation of food as it goes out.”
