HOT CLUB DE FRANCE with Michael Valeanu Band 
  
The first significant contribution to Jazz from Europe came from France. Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli create a unique style that nowadays is described as “Gispy Jazz” in honor of the gipsy origins of Django himself. Duke Ellington who first recognized Django’s immense talent and originality brought him in the USA for the first time where he appeared with Duke at a memorable concert at Carnegie Hall. The original guitar style and the aventourous compositions made  Django the first of a long list of European Jazz masters.
French guitarist Michael Valeanu and his group will bring back to life the immortal sounds of Django & Co.
