FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Presents
The Belle of Amherst – A Special Late Night Series Event
The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training brings Broadway playwright William Luce’s brilliant one-woman show The Belle of Amherst to the stage for a one-night-only performance. An artistic depiction of the life and work of American poet Emily Dickinson, The Belle of Amherst weaves Dickinson’s poetry, journal entries, and letters with memories from friends, relatives, and acquaintances to reveal the story and spirit of this literary icon. A special Late Night production, The Belle of Amherst will be performed by third-year Conservatory student Lisa Egan Woods, and directed by Jeffrey Todd Parrott, who appeared in Asolo Rep’s 14-15 season productions of South Pacific and Both Your Houses.
