New York, NY June 27, 2016 The City of Clearwater, Fla. announces the Clearwater Super Boat National Championship & Seafood Festival coming this October. Attendees will enjoy thrilling high speed boat races presented by Super Boat International teams from around the world and fresh seafood delights during the three-day event.
The Bright House Clearwater Super Boat National Championship & Seafood Festival will welcome visitors to three full days of family fun activities and some of the worlds fastest and largest powerboats. The championship, taking place from Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016 features a 2.5-mile racecourse located just off Clearwaters award-winning beaches. Spectators can view the exciting action from the beach, Pier 60, various VIP viewing parties or from a boat viewing area in the middle of the track. Last years Clearwater Super Boat National Championship races saw huge crowds turn out, where an estimated 50,000 people on over 2,500 boats lined the beaches of the 2.5-mile-long race course. Guests in the area also watched the races from the comfort of hotels and restaurants along the beach, and the total number of attendees surpassed 180,000.
In addition to super boat races, Clearwater is home to numerous water activities. For an afternoon of thrilling adventure, kiteboarding promises riders an eventful time out on the Gulf waters. A combination of surfing, sailing and skydiving, riders can travel up to 40 miles per hour and soar several stories high, providing a riveting afternoon of fun.
