Surprise, Arizona — The Texas Rangers announced today that Manager of Minor League Operations Paul Kruger has been promoted to Assistant Director of Player Development.

 

“This promotion is a clear recognition of Paul’s contributions over many departments,” said Rangers Senior Director of Player Development Mike Daly. “Since Paul joined the Rangers as an intern in our Dominican Republic complex in 2009, he has consistently exemplified extraordinary work.  Everyone in the Player Development department recognizes the tremendous contributions Paul makes every day, and we all congratulate him on this promotion.”

 

Kruger is involved in all aspects of the Rangers Player Development programs, including player management and acquisition, budgeting, and the operation of the club’s Dominican complex. He was hired to a full-time position as Assistant, International Operations in 2010, served as Coordinator, Minor League and International Operations from 2012-14, and was promoted to Manager, Minor League Operations in 2015.

 

The Rangers first full minor league workout takes place on Monday, March 7 at the team’s complex in Surprise, Arizona. Minor league spring training games begin on Monday, March 14.
