SPDW at the MCA with Israeli Dance and Theatre Artists
We are honored that Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Tribune and New City have listed SPDW’s performances as a must see this fall.
On October 22, 24 & 25th the Museum of Contemporary Art will present SPDW Dance and Oren Laor and Niv Sheinfeld, two amazing Israeli dance and theatre artists. They are not only creating work on the company but they themselves will be performing! These performances are a culmination of an exciting cultural exchange project supported by the John D. MacArthur International Connections Fund Grant and the Israeli Consulate to the Midwest.

The MCA theatre will be intimately designed with seating on the stage and in the auditorium, allowing audiences to connect more personally to Sheinfeld/Laor’s critically acclaimed work Two Room ApartmentVanishing Point created by Sheinfeld/Laor with SPDW dancers and Stripped choreographed by Joanna Rosenthal Read.

The entire month of  October is filled with events to connect with our international guests. On October 6th we will present a free discussion at the Chicago Cultural Center, part of Audience Architects’ Moving Dialogues and a free discussion at the MCA on October 20th. Master dance classes will be held on October 9th at  http://www.dovetail-studios.com and at the MCA on October 23rd.

We hope to see you at the show and the other great events.
