Strong Sponsor Support Shown for 2015 Bradenton Blues Festival
A limited-edition poster illustrated by Don Brandes was unveiled at a VIP sponsor kick-off event on September 30, which included a performance by Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones.
(Bradenton, FL) A limited-edition poster illustrated by Ringling College instructor Don Brandes exclusively for Realize Bradenton and the 2015 Bradenton Blues Festival was unveiled at the Bradenton Blues Festival’s VIP sponsor party on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Ace’s Live Music in Bradenton. More than 200 people, including over 60 area business sponsors, attended the event, which was hosted by BMO Harris Bank, the festival’s Presenting Sponsor. Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones provided entertainment.
At the event, Jennifer Zavadil, Vice President, Bank Manager of BMO Harris Bank, the festival’s Presenting Sponsor, welcomed the sponsors and confirmed the bank’s commitment of their $15,000 annual sponsorship.
“As a bank, we have a special responsibility to help businesses and communities grow,” said Zavadil. “A large part of our mission at BMO Harris Bank is to encourage and support cultural efforts and initiatives. The Bradenton Blues Festival not only enhances the lives of those of us who live and work here—it also unites area-based businesses to form common cause with one of the area’s most important economic multipliers—the regional arts and cultural industry.”
According to Johnette Isham, executive director of Realize Bradenton, the organization that produces the festival, more than 60 area businesses, organizations, foundations and media groups are supporters of the 2015 Bradenton Blues Festival. (A sponsor list is provided below.)
“We’re grateful to BMO Harris Bank and to all of the other business leaders who have stepped forward and shown such strong support for this festival,” says Isham. “They understand that great blues means great business for our region.” She explains that Realize Bradenton directs the proceeds raised from the festival back into the community to support art and music programs for youth.
Isham says that advance tickets for the festival’s fifth year are selling quickly. “We’re a close-knit family ready to rock our region with a world-class festival,” she says.
The 2015 Bradenton Blues Festival returns to downtown Bradenton’s Riverwalk, December 5, 2015, 11 a.m.-8 p.m., with an all-star lineup that includes Janiva Magness, hailed by critics as one of the premier blues and R&B singers in the world today. (See attached press release.)
