(Sarasota, FL) Diane Lane Massage & Bodywork presents “Learn to Massage Your Loved One,” a workshop designed to teach couples how to effectively massage each other. “Unwinding at the end of a stressful day with an effective and well-targeted massage from your loved one can make all the difference in your world—and the difference in who you are as a person, parent, spouse, or lover,” says Diane Lane, LMT. “Massage is also a wonderful way to promote health and vitality, and enhance romance and intimacy.” Workshops are November 28, 7 p.m.; December 7, 7 p.m.; January 12, 7 p.m. and January 30, 6 p.m. The cost is $125 per couple. Space is limited; couples should register in advance. For more information or to register, call 941-374-1281.

Massage works wonders for adults—and children and adolescents, too. Lane knows from personal experience. “My girls used to come home from school after carrying heavy backpacks all day and complain that their back hurt. Thankfully, I knew just what to do.” According to Lane, tight muscles lead to injuries—a big problem when so many young people play sports. And a small injury can lead to larger issues as the child grows up—sometimes lasting for life. Fortunately, you don’t have to go to a massage therapist every time your kid says “ouch.” Lane’s “Massage for Parents” workshop is Saturday, November 28, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at her studio at 1718 Main Street, Suite 310, Sarasota. The cost is $50 for one parent and one or two children. Space is limited; parents should register by Thursday, November 5. For more information or to register, call 941-374-1281.

Diane Lane obtained her massage therapy license in 2001 while attending DoveStar Institute in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She has been practicing in Sarasota since 2005. Lane also offers private and semi-private massage workshops.
