WLTW-FM ADDS INDIE ARTIST ELIZABETH CHAN TO RENOWNED CLASSIC HOLIDAY ROSTER
WITH “CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY”
December 15, 2014 – NEW YORK – WLTW-FM, “New York’s Best Variety” station, is breaking the holiday music barriers this season by adding independent holiday artist, Elizabeth Chan, to their holiday music roster. Elizabeth’s “Christmas in the City” is one of only four new songs added to the stations’ repertoire this season, including Idina Menzel’s, “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” Band Aid 30, “Do They Know It’s…(2014)”, and Seth MacFarlane’s, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
Elizabeth will also be performing at 106.7 Lite FM’s 1st Annual Gift Wrapping Party on Monday, December 22nd at Celsius at Bryant Park.
Under the guidance of mega-producer Steve Lillywhite, who has worked with U2, Dave Matthews Band and Thirty Seconds To Mars, Chan has amassed some 400 holiday songs since she began writing in 2011, and has a true passion for this genre of music, writing holiday tunes all year long. A native New Yorker and former media executive, this female entrepreneur also founded her own record label, Merry Bright Music.
In 2013, her sophomore album Everyday Holidays, debuted at number 17 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Songs chart and featured the single “Fa La La,” which landed at Number 7 on the Billboard chart. USA Today said “its ’80s New York pop vibe, is one of radio’s most-played new holiday tunes this year, right behind Kelly Clarkson’s Underneath the Tree and Johnny Mathis and Jim Brickman’s Sending You a Little Christmas.”
More recently, Elizabeth released her 3rd Christmas CD on October 14 in a partnership with Sony Red and caught the national attention of Billboard and USA Today, and debuted her latest music video for “Christmas in the City” on USAToday.com.
