SARASOTA, FL, October 29, 2020—Gail E. Farb, a labor and employment attorney with Williams Parker, recently participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Sarasota County Bar Association concerning the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia, that clarified protections under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 related to LGBTQ+ employees. The panel discussed implications of the decision including ensuring compliance, addressing workplace issues, and revising policies.

Ms. Farb also recently presented “How to Identify Workplace Abuse and Assist Abused Employees” to the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Southwest Florida (SWFL) Chapter at a 2020 Foundation Strategic Breakfast. The presentation included how business leaders can pro-actively position their company through innovative strategies regarding harassment and bullying, workplace violence, concealed weapons, as well as domestic and sexual violence.
