CATCH THE BAND LIVE AT THE BOOTLEG THEATER DECEMBER 2! |
Los Angeles, CA – December 1, 2015 – Los Angeles indie rock band Wildling have released “We Go All The Way” off of their upcoming self-titled debut EP. The song is the fourth single release in anticipation of the band’s new collection of songs out this Friday December 4th. The band premiered the track with Good Music All Day and fans can also stream the song on Wildling’s official Soundcloud. Wildling recently wrapped a 6-week national tour with Young The Giant and will celebrate the release of their new EP at The Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday December 2nd. Tickets and additional information can be found at http://www.wildlingmusic.com/shows/.
Wildling’s self-titled debut EP, recorded at Bob Clearmountain’s Apogee Studios in Santa Monica, features the single “Hummingbird,” a driving vocal anthem showcasing the band’s intuitive songwriting. Recently, the band released a new recording of their haunting version of Neil Young’s timeless classic “Heart of Gold” online. Fans can now receive a free download of the track at www.wildlingmusic.com.
To feature their collection of music, the band worked with several producers on their debut EP, including Doug Boehm (French Kicks, Dr. Dog), Caleb Shreve (Phantogram, Bear Hands), Ted Gowans (Tegan & Sara), and Ben Greenspan (Fences).
In addition to “Hummingbird,”the EP includes the energetic hip-hop-beat-turned-explosive-double-bass outro of “Anywhere We Are;”the calm but passion-filled urban groove of “We Go All the Way;”the arena-filling gang vocals and anthemic resonation of “Wolves;”the clap-your-hands-and-sing-along sway of “Palindrome;”and the driving, upbeat “Doesn’t Really Matter.”
Forming in late fall of 2014, Wildling has enjoyed a quick rise from their very first show at The Satellite in Los Angeles. The day after that show, they were invited by the venue to headline their January residency. The very next week, they were invited to provide tour support for Young the Giant. The band began honing their live sound, and a few months later, they found themselves in Austin for SXSW performing at some of the most coveted showcases. By summertime, they were in the studio recording their debut EP.
Front man Ryan Levine keeps the audience riveted with his electric performance; and the interplay between him and his younger brother, Justin, makes it clear how sincerely thrilled they are to be onstage together-best buds since the beginning. Backed by the solid musicality and experienced stage presence of Erik Janson, Casey Brothers, and Andrew Ampaya, the overall passion and energy of the band is undeniable. They make wonderful use of dynamics, bringing the audience in-keeping things smooth, tight, and contained-and then turning it all the way up, losing themselves in the unique energy of the night, the performance and the space.
In less than a year, these five individuals have transformed into a collective that is winning the hearts of music-lovers and music-makers with every show. And finally, they’re about to hit the road ahead of their first official release. While the rise of Wildling from obscurity to touring act looks quick on paper, their path has been a journey of patience, persistence, and dedication to their music.
