Bartók Divertimento
Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor
Beethoven Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major

Talented. Intelligent. Handsome. Musical. Genius. These are the words that have been used to describe violinist Stefan Jackiw. According to The Washington Post, his “weeping tone and spot-on intonation made you wonder whether this was what it was like to hear a Perlman or a Stern in his early years.” If you heard Stefan Jackiw play the violin, you’d be shocked to find out he just turned 30 this year. From a young age, he’s been turning heads with his violin and has received a lion’s share of rave reviews.
As a graduate of Harvard University and the New England Conservatory, Jackiw has played as a soloist with the Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco and the YouTube symphony orchestras, just to name a few. He’s also the grandson of the Korean poet Pi Chun-Deuk. If anything, his playing is just that – pure poetry. Watch Jackiw’s performance with the YouTube Symphony Orchestra that helped him become “one of the best and most interesting young violinists.” And hear him perform Mendelsson’s Violin Concerto next weekend.

Still not a fan yet? Come to our December concert to hear his celestial sounds for yourself!

Tickets start at $27.
