For students in grades three through five and grades six through eight, Venice Theatre offers its popular Act 1: Beginning Acting Performs!, Act 2: Intermediate Acting Performs! and Act 3: Advanced Acting Performs! All classes will participate in a MainStage spring showcase on April 11, 2015 with technical rehearsals on April 9 and 10. Specialty classes range from Musical Motion to The Yellow Boat.
For adults 18 and older, the theatre offers exciting classes taught by professionals in their fields. Classes include Candace’s Improvisation: The basic tenet of Yes! and Peter Ivanov’s Scene Study. A special offering this semester is Peter’s Theatre Appreciation class: That Show Changed My Life! It explores the art, history and science of theatre as a fine art. Venice Theatre also offers private lessons for students who are interested in one-on-one instruction in acting and/or musical theatre; and a customized program for Girl Scout and Boy Scout badges.
