Sunday, February 15th Contract: March 15-May 3 Roles available for AEA and Non-AEA Actors, $200-350/week Audition location: Urbanite Theatre, 1487 Second Street, Sarasota FL 34237
Actors must be comfortable with strong language and adult content.   Email [email protected] for a time slot on February 15th, 10am-5pm.

NOTE: Actors should only attend if they specifically fit one of the types listed below. This is not a monologue audition or open call. Prepare to read sides for the character you are auditioning for, a reader will be provided for you. CLICK HERE FOR SIDES

We sincerely appreciate that there may be actors who want to be seen who aren’t right for these characters, but there will be an additional opportunity for that soon.
 Lucy Roslyn & John Last, Chicken Shop by Anna Jordan, Epsilon Productions at Park Theatre, UK
Breakdown   HENDRIX (16-17, American) Awkward, kind-hearted and earnest. A smart high school student struggling with changing hormones. Curious about women, but deeply isolated out of his fear of being misunderstood. (Actor should be 18+, able to play younger. Role requires strong language and adult content)    HILLARY (40-45, American) Hendrix’s mother. Grounded, earthy. A little worn out but idealistic. Caring, but has lost her ability to connect with Hendrix, especially as she’s been sexually and spiritually revitalized by her new girlfriend.    KATIE (26-30, American) Hillary’s girlfriend. A free spirit and artist. Sparky, stunning, hyper-sexual. Has just moved in with Hendrix and Hillary. (Role requires brief nudity)   LUMINITA (20-25, Moldovan) Delicate, bird-like, broken, but not sad. Came to the United States to be a model, but has wound up enslaved in an unbearable life of prostitution. Traces of inner strength remain, but doesn’t have any options. (Role requires brief nudity, strong language and adult content)   LEKO (30-40, Hungarian) A sex trafficker, and Luminita’s pimp. Intense, a large energy. Charming and manipulative. Makes deadly threats and is capable of following up on them.

NOTE: Actors reading for Luminita and Leko should lightly attempt the corresponding accent. We’ll be casting on talent and type, not necessarily your accent. But we do want to hear at least a general Eastern European color.
