Tracking for new Thomas Giles album has begun

Sophomore solo effort from Tommy Rogers of Between the Buried in Me due this Fall

Winston-Salem, NC – July 7th, 2014 – Thomas Giles will release a new album this fall, which will be the follow up to 2011’s “Pulse.” The new album, “Modern Noise,” is being tracked with Jamie King at The Basement Studios, with former Between the Buried and Me drummer Will Goodyear handling drum tracking. The new album will expand upon what Alternative Press called “post-rock mastery” in their review for “Pulse.” This will be an essential album for those who enjoy what Revolver Magazine called “melodic complexity and lyrical depth…perfect headphone fare“.

I’m very happy announce that I’m back recording another record with Jamie King. Can’t explain how excited I am about this material. We are about 60% done and it’s sounding above and beyond. Drummer Will Goodyear is a perfect addition to the session and has really helped bring these songs to life. I’m anxiously awaiting for the world to hear this Modern Noise.” – Thomas Giles

Personnel:
Jamie King (The Basement Studios) – Engineer/Mix/Master
Will Goodyear( Grohg, ex-BTBAM) – Drums/Percussion
Thomas Giles – Noise

Pulse” accolades:

Pulse is Rogers unleashed, taking the listener to weird and wonderful places usually reserved for the prog-rock geniuses of the ’70s or the post rock heroes of our current day…an alternately lovely and chilling record” Alternative Press Magazine

This is a tour-de-force for Rogers, staking a legitimate claim for him as a top songwriter in music today.” About.com

Tommy Rogers is out to blow perceptions away, though, with his new solo album Pulse, issued under his given first and middle name of Thomas Giles. With echoes of Trent Reznor permeating every second of his music, Thomas Giles Rogers is making his presence felt now more than ever before.” PopMatters.com

Easily the most charming element of “Pulse” that makes it noteworthy is its intrinsic lack of ego. All too often vanity seeps to the surface when a frontman steps out on his own. This is not the case here as the unifying factor to almost every song is an endearing sense of humility.” ThePRP.com
