As the first show of the Family Favorites, the Manatee Performing Arts Center presents the Manatee Players production of The Secret Garden Sept. 17 – Oct. 4 in Stone Hall. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Rick Kerby and Musical Director Rick Bogner, this musical is a must-see for the entire family.

The Manatee Performing Arts Center is happy to have Steve Dawson back on stage after raising a family and directing around the area.

Set in the early 20th century, The Secret Garden, a Tony Award winning musical, tells the enchanting story of young orphan Mary Lennox as she returns to Yorkshire, England to live with her reclusive uncle and his invalid son. Let the music lead the way as she brings new life to a neglected garden and as her true character blossoms before your eyes.
