Known as “The Royal Family of the Guitar,” The Romeros return to 92nd Street Y on November 22 celebrating one of Europe’s most culturally vibrant regions: Andalucia, the southern part of Spain. Especially famous for the flamenco style, Andalucia’s music is an intriguing mix of Western and Arabic traditions.
The concert’s program spans more than two centuries, from the Classical era to works written by Celedonio Romero (the founder of the ensemble) and his son Pepe, the current leader of the clan, who celebrated his 70th birthday earlier this year.

As Mr. Denk describes it: “On the first half a “mixtape” about anxiety, regret, and ambivalence (Janácek/Schubert); on the second half Schumann’s Carnaval, bursting with young confidence–no regrets, no second thoughts.” Tickets $25 (age 35 & under),$43, $60, $65 CONTACT!
