THE FIRST BRASS FIVE – PLUS

SHARON SCOTT

Internationally renowned singer, actress and playwright Sharon Scott will join The First Brass Five Quintet in the January 16th and February 17th concerts.
Sharon, a Sarasota resident,
began her career in New York and has performed throughout the world including North and South America, Australia, Asia and Europe. She also has performed on stage with many notable performers including the late Mr. Alex Haley, author of “Roots.”

A favorite of Sarasota audiences, she has appeared locally in “Ain’t Misbehavin'” and “Nunsense” and has performed in a concert series with the Sarasota Orchestra, formerly the Florida West Coast Symphony.

Sharon has been seen in several Off-Broadway productions including “BINGO” and “High Hat Hattie,” a one-woman play based on the life of Hattie McDaniel, the first African-American to win an Oscar for her role as Mammy in “Gone with the Wind.”

If you haven’t heard Sharon perform yet, you are in for a treat!
