The Mardi Gras show was presented by the First Brass Five +, featuring Sharon Scott, at Englewood United Methodist Church in Englewood, FL on February 13, 2016.  The show included jazz and dixieland music, such as Sugar Blues, Just a Closer Walk with Thee, When the Saints Come Marching In, and Sharon sang Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Ain’t Misbehavin’, just to name a few.

This is your editor’s favorite show of the year.  It is music that the audience and musicians equally enjoy.   We are looking forward to next year when we can do it again.

The First Brass continues to collect used cell phones for the national organization “Cell Phones for Soldiers”.  These phones are converted into calling minutes for our military personnel.  Bring your old phones to any of our concerts.
