Annual “Pink & Blue” Event benefits local cancer programs

 

SARASOTA, Fla. (April, 2015)

The “Pink & Blue” Fundraiser hosted by Calusa Lakes Women’s Golf Association is in its third year of partnership with the Foundation and having great success. The Ladies Golf Group held a tournament that boasted over 95 players. The ladies feel it is important to support research and programs on the local level. Sponsors were well represented and supporters were thrilled with the turnout.

The Calusa Golf event was organized by Nancy Delaney and her committee. The tournament was followed by a luncheon and gift table with chance and raffle prizes. Attendees were invited to purchases chances to win items and raffle tickets to win a variety of gift cards and other items.

In total The Calusa Lakes Women’s Golf Associated raised $8,500 for Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, earmarked for the Breast & Prostate Cancer Programs at SMHCS. Alex Quarles, CEO, President & Trustee of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation remarked “caring groups such as these are the lifeblood of many an organization. We are so very grateful that these ladies have chosen Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation as their community health partner.”
