The Rangers fell to the Cleveland Indians, 9-1, on Friday night, dropping the first of 2 exhibition games at Globe Life Park this weekend. Ryan Cordell drove in the lone Texas run with a home run in the 6th inning off Cleveland starter Cody Anderson. Prince Fielder and Delino DeShields each hit safely in 2 plate appearances. Fielder has batted .379 (11-29) over his last 11 games, while DeShields has 3 extra-base hits in his last 2 games. Colby Lewis started for Texas and permitted only a pair of solo home runs in the 2nd inning.
