“Sound the Alarm” Single Now Available in Digital Stores

For Immediate Release – Black Panda PR  – Los Angeles, CA – April 6, 2015 – “L.A. Scapes” is the brainchild of TAPED3CK’s singer and primary songwriter Lillard Anthony. His newly formed L.A.- based garage rock project TAPED3CK birthed a batch of ten ripping rock tracks last year and instead of tossing those files into a digital vortex, he decided to tap his friends, some of whom are burgeoning directorial talent in their own right, for each music video installment of this new five part series.
“L.A. Scapes” showcases new and on the brink directors and their perspectives of Rock City set to the soundtrack of L.A.’s newest and tightest rock project- TAPED3CK.   “Sound the Alarm,” their follow-up to their debut hit “Hey LA,” released October 2014, is now available for sale in digital stores worldwide and the video exclusively on Pure Grain Audio.com today.
Watch as Taped3ck steamrolls over the straying remnants of the derisive emo trend, straight past SoCal pop punk and possibly even more important than either of those, the dance music that’s currently emasculating sales of the genre and the strip that birthed it.

Director Jon Matthews (Surviving Cliffside, Black Dog, Red Dog)  “Sound the Alarm.”  Matthew’s film, “Surviving Cliffside;”  also scored by Anthony, premiered at SXSW in 2014 and continues to impress at film festivals domestically and internationally. Matthews’ recent film, “Black Dog, Red Dog,”  starring James Franco, Olivia Wilde and Whoopi Goldberg released in 2014 as well.
Taped3ck is derived from years of friendship, fun and jamming together in front-man Lillard Anthony’s Los Angeles home studio.
Lillard and bassist Al Walters grew up together in music and have been performing together for years. First in SoCal sensation Putnam Hall, a vigilantly independent rock band that released 3 EP’s and one full length album “Fight the Format,” up until 2012.  Putnam Hall career highlights include placing their song (“To Kill”) in 2-time Academy Award-nominated film, “The Messenger,” getting their “SuperNothing” music video ranked number 5 on MTV CHI’s top countdown, joining the Vans Warped Tour, and making an EP with multi-platinum producer Dave Jerden (Offspring, Jane’s Addiction).
That led him to composing and producing original music for global brands like MTV, Samsung, WWE and for film, including the film score for “Surviving Cliffside,” which premiered at South by Southwest in March 2014.
Taped3ck is one dimension of Lillard Anthony, a multi-faceted songwriter, artist, native Angeleno, and soulful front man gifted with a gritty voice. He enjoys the freedom and success of his solo projects and creative expressions in writing, composing, scoring and playing live- devil horns, dirty licks and all.   “L.A. Scapes”  is his personal love letter to his two favorite muses: rock n’ roll and Los Angeles.
