Rock radio stars Ambrosia coming to VCC
SARASOTA COUNTY –  Seventies rock/pop superstars Ambrosia will hit the Venice Community Center stage in February as part of their nationwide tour showcasing some of their legendary hits.
The band, formed in southern California in 1970, scored five Top 40 hit singles between 1975-80, including “Biggest Part of Me,” “How Much I Feel,” “You’re the Only Woman (You & I),” “Holdin’ On To Yesterday,” and their cover of the Beatles’ “Magical Mystery Tour.”
Ambrosia has toured the world extensively with Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and the Doobie Brothers and on major headlining shows. Now the band’s current six-person lineup, which includes a majority of Ambrosia’s founding members, will play the VCC at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
Doors open 6:30 pm. General admission tickets are $20, and reserved seating is available.
