The view was stunning when arriving at the Chart House last Saturday! It appeared we would enjoy that great side terrace for the evening. However, within the hour, a storm blew in. We relocated to the lounge area – along with our delicious hors d’oeuvres.
We had a fun evening despite the weather with lots of new people to meet. Once again, too many to acknowledge by name, so please know that we enjoyed meeting and having all of you with us. There were two new members and seven guests joining us for the first time. Also, one man shy of being even with the ladies – you are over-taking us!
On to our exciting upcoming events! Still enjoying our “Club Hopping” tour, we will be hosting a themed dinner dance, “A Night in Havana,” at the Bird Key Yacht Club on June 28th.
That is our next party – with a fantastic evening planned at this esteemed private club! Get out your Cuban inspired clothes and let’s have fun with this!

“A NIGHT IN HAVANA”
Saturday, June 28th
Imagine arriving at the Tropicana Club in Havana!
Our evening at the Bird Key Yacht Club
is inspired by this world famous nightclub .
A cocktail reception by the bay’s edge will give us
opportunity to catch up with one another
before stepping inside to “The Tropicana.”
Live music reminiscent of old Havana for our entertainment
while dining on the chef’s Cuban cuisine.
A broad variety of music following dinner for
dancing at the “Club.”
Thursday, July 10th
Celebrate the 4th of July (belatedly) with us at the
gorgeous beach on Anna Maria Island.
Gathering at our own private covered Tiki-type pavilion
for a cocktail reception and island inspired dinner
with Mahi-Mahi and Chicken Tropicale.
Take a stroll on the beach or remain at the pavilion
to celebrate the sun setting over the Gulf.
“BASTILLE DAY CELEBRATION”
Friday, July 25th
The Palm Room at Sara Bay Country Club, with its old-world charm, provides the perfect setting for celebrating Bastille Day.
This French National Day commemorates the beginning of the
French Revolution with the storming of the Bastille.
Following French tradition,
we will celebrate with a festive evening
of French music, dancing and fine French cuisine.
In addition, we will experience Sara Bay Country Club,
founded in 1926, and considered to be one of the most
distinguished and prestigious golf clubs in Florida.
