Foundation hires new Senior Director of Major Gifts
SARASOTA, FL-The Foundation is pleased to announce that Debra A. Coleman has joined the team in the capacity of Senior Director of Major Gifts. Deb comes to the Foundation with 25 years of experience in fundraising in Boston, mainly in the Boston teaching hospitals, including New England Deaconess Hospital (now BIDMC), Brigham and Women’s Hospital and New England Baptist Hospital. She is extremely qualified and working very well with the development team to wrap her arms around the greater Sarasota Community and stewarding donors and their respective wishes. Alex Quarles, CEO of Foundation said, “We are excited to have Deb on board to share her expertise.” Deb will also be collaborating with doctors and key Hospital staff to carry out fundraising efforts for the new free-standing rehabilitation facility, residency program needs, trauma, and urgent care initiatives.
Deb has expertise in major donor portfolio management, staff and volunteer leadership, campaign planning and execution and program design and management. Ms. Coleman’s career highlights include working with volunteers, boards and donors in a variety of institutions, but shares that her passion is for healthcare.
