We all know the world as we know it has changed significantly over the years. For the most part that’s a good thing, but the one thing we still can’t avoid is growing up!
The transition from adolescence to adulthood is always a struggle. Learning who you are, your purpose in life and the direction you want it to take is a challenge for all of us. Throw in an unexpected pregnancy and the problems escalate exponentially.
Rising new author, Brittany Touris bravely tackles the topic of growing up and young adulthood in her new book, Stars Melt to Milk. Nineteen year old Janis is finally on a promising path as she opens her own dance school. Her boyfriend, Charlie, finds his future is blurry at best and without direction. Together they discover Janis is pregnant. Alternating between their perspectives, Touris explores the reality of an unplanned pregnancy and whether love can conquer all.
