Encore of Eye-Opening Documentary Examining Rising Violence in Chicago will Simultaneously Stream on Revolt.tv Sunday, December 14th

With national media attention fixated on escalating violence and injustice in the Midwest, REVOLT TV aims to shine a light on where to go from here, re-airing “CHICAGO LOVE” on Sunday, December 14, 2014 only on REVOLT TV and Revolt.tv. This November REVOLT premiered “CHICAGO LOVE,” an emotionally-gripping 90-minute special created by Sean “Diddy” Combs, produced by REVOLT CEO Keith Clinkscales and head of news Rahman Dukes that examines the rising violence in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Throughout Lollapalooza weekend, a time of musical celebration, REVOLT News respectfully covered the stories of victims of gun violence and engaged local artists to showcase how real-life mirrors music and vice-versa. The documentary features several Chicago-bred artists (including Common and Rhymefest), activists, educators, faith leaders and victims’ families offering insights on violence, education, the city’s ongoing ‘Drill music’ scene and the introduction of the Fe Fe movement.

Since its debut, the documentary has reverberated across audiences through in-depth reporting on the continued unrest in the Windy City. Vibe Vixen exclaims, “Due to a recent turn of events—more specifically Ferguson—this film is more relevant than ever and is a part of an ongoing effort to provide a solution for the violence in Chicago.” True Stars echoes this sentiment, “The film performs a great balancing act because it enlightens the viewer while not completely exhibiting a self-serving bias. ‘Chicago Love’ is perhaps the best documentary to ever tackle the multi-faceted issues plaguing this great city.” “‘Chicago Love’ brilliantly takes a microscope to the interconnected relationship of the gun industry and private prisons,” said ThatsEnuff.com.
