New Officers and Two New Board Members

Additions to the board of directors of Realize Bradenton, a nonprofit that builds community and economic development, strengthen its board leadership.

(Bradenton, FL) Realize Bradenton, Inc., recently announced the addition of two new members to its 12-member board of directors. Elected to three-year board positions are Jennifer Zavidil and Rick Fawley. At the same meeting, Dennis Zink was elected as board chair and Chris Timol as vice chair. The board of directors takes action on critical issues and opportunities from a mission-based perspective to build community and economic development in downtown Bradenton.

“We’re very pleased to add these talented individuals to the Realize Bradenton board,” says Zink. “Each has vital ties to the community and is already involved in enhancing the quality of life in Bradenton. Their diverse backgrounds make them important assets to Realize Bradenton and the work we do.”

Rick Fawley is president of Fawley Bryant Architects, Inc., an award-winning firm providing architecture, interior design, planning, project development, strategic consulting and sustainability services on the west coast of Florida. He is a 35-year member of the American Institute of Architects, former treasurer of the Florida AIA Gulf Coast Chapter and a founding member and president of the Manatee Architects Association. As a graduate of Leadership Florida, Fawley distinguished himself in Manatee County through his service and leadership. He’s served on numerous committees and boards in the community, including Goodwill Manasota, Manatee Education Foundation, Bradenton Area Economic Development Council, Sarasota Economic Development Council, and the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, Fawley was named the 2014 recipient of the Kent C. Schulz Distinguished Alumni Award, Leadership Manatee’s top alumni recognition.

Jennifer Zavadil is the vice president and retail bank manager of the Cortez branch of BMO Harris Bank. She has more than 30 years of financial services experience that began with Barnett Bank of Florida. Zavadil attended State College of Florida and has earned numerous banking certificates through The American Institute of Banking. She is a member of the Better Business Council Advisory Committee and a member of the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce, a sponsorship liaison and BMO representative with the Manatee County Medical Society, Manatee County Dental Society, and the Manatee County BAR Association. Zavadil is an elder with Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, and volunteers for the Manatee High School wrestling team.

Dennis Zink is a certified mentor and chapter chair of Manasota SCORE. He is the creator and host of “Been There, Done That!” a nationally syndicated small-business podcast series for SCORE. He also facilitates a CEO roundtable for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, runs a business MeetUp group, “Success Strategies for Business Owners,” writes a weekly small-business column for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and is a business consultant.

Chris Timol is the regional director of sales and former vice president of major market services for Paychex Inc., a member of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance and Economic Development Council, and advisory board member and investor with Janji, Inc.

Realize Bradenton’s board of directors includes Ann Breitinger, Jaymie Carter, Kim Daglish, Rick Fawley, Bridgette Halliburton, Melodie Rich (treasurer), Casey Rodgers, Chris Timol (vice chair), Mimi Tran, Kay Wight, Jennifer Zavidil and Dennis Zink (chair).
