IT’S A COLORFUL AUTUMN AT QUEENS THEATRE

Queens, NY- October 6, 2014: Queens Theatre (QT) and Managing Director Taryn Sacramone are filling up the fall with an exciting variety of programming, from comedy to dance to a special performance for children.

Get ready for a bawdy adult comedy The Complete History of Comedy (Abridged!) on Saturday, October 25th at 2pm & 8pm and Sunday, October 26th at 3pm at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Tickets are available at queenstheatre.org and range from $25-$42.

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 1pm & 3pm, the popular Family Series returns with Fly Guy & Other Stories. This musical revue is based on the children’s book series by Tedd Arnold, and follows Fly Guy, his pet Buzz, and other fun children’s book characters on exciting adventures! Tickets are available at queenstheatre.org for $14.

November will bring “a visual feast of energy and movement!” (QueensBuzz.com), when the Queens-based modern dance company Valerie Green/Dance Entropy presents a diverse program featuring three vigorous new works including a theatrical dance piece based on the story of the Titanic. Featuring a multi-ethnic company of gifted dancers, their work is surprising, bold, dynamic – and completely captivating. Saturday, November 1st at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday, November 2nd at 3pm. Tickets are available at queenstheatre.org and range from $25-$42.

The Cottage by Sandy Rustin, a “vibrant, hilarious and full of heart,” (Talkin’ Broadway) play, returns to Queens after a successful premiere at Astoria Performing Arts Center. The Cottage is a mischievous farce set in a cozy “love nest” in the English countryside in the early 1920’s. As the classy cast exchange stinging barbs and longing looks, a surprising and delicious web of secrets is unraveled. November 7th-16th, 2014; Fridays at 8pm (with a 11/14 Matinee at 2pm) Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm, Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are available at queenstheatre.org and range from $25-$42.
