NEW YORK (December 1, 2015) Pop singer Wil’s hit single “What are we waiting for” produced by Randy Jackson and DJ Sasan has been officially added to WPTY Long Island and KYLI Las Vegas. Of the success of the infectious single, Wil states “I am so excited about the positive response people had with a song we had so much fun creating. The song was inspired by a friend who woke up from a coma after several months and lived life as though every moment was her last. She never waited for things to happen but instead reached out for it”.
In addition to attending fashion shows, Wil performed his single during official S/S 2016 New York Fashion week parties and has been on a whirlwind press tour to promote his music landing looks with the likes of Hollywood Life, The Music Ninja, PopMania and more. The song has completed licenses in China with Warner Brothers, Germany with Selfie through Kontor, and Central Station in Australia.
As a teenager in Singapore, Wil soundproofed his bedroom so he could stay up for all hours writing and recording pop songs. After sharpening his sound by studying at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood during his last year of college, Wil visited Spain on a family trip and wound up staying two years, a whirlwind experience that saw the release of his brightly catchy and beat-heavy debut single “HOLA.” Now based in L.A., the 26-year-old artist recently joined forces with Grammy Award-winning producer Randy Jackson to tap into his globe-spanning influences and create a whole new take on dance-ready pop.
