The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast (PMP/Suncoast) will be one of five local
organizations to perform in the closing ceremonies of this year’s Modern Pentathlon World Cup I on Sunday, February 22nd at 5 p.m. at Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota.

The performance will take place while images of the weekend’s competition are shown on the Jumbo-tron. Distinguished alumni of The Perlman Music Program to perform are violist Molly Carr and violinist Doori Na. The musicians will appear due to generous support by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The musical composition they will play is Passacaglia from Harpsichord Suite No. 7 in G Minor Arr. for violin and viola, by Johan Halvorsen (1864-1935), George Frideric Handel (1685-1759).

The 2015 Modern Pentathlon World Cup I provides residents and visitors to the Sarasota-Bradenton area the opportunity to see the world’s most complete athletes compete in an Olympic qualifying event. By infusing a blend of art and cultural events into the competition this year, organizers have created a mini-Olympic style experience for the participants and spectators. For more information visit
