MISSIO DEBUT ALBUM, LONER, OUT TODAY
APPEARING ON CONAN MAY 24TH
ON TOUR NOW
“Every era gets the youth revolt anthem it deserves. In this time of domestic turmoil, massive marches, resistance and confusion there may be no better
smash-the-system call-to-arms than MISSIO‘s ‘Middle Fingers.’”
(New York, NY) RCA recording artist MISSIO’s debut album, LONER is out today. Four songs from the album have been released since the album was announced.
MISSIO will be appearing on CONAN on May 24th, playing their hit single “Middle Fingers.” “Middle Fingers” is the band’s breakthrough single that was released at the top of 2017. The track quickly blew up at SiriusXM’s Alt Nation where it hit the #1 spot on the influential “Alt-18 Countdown” and went top 10 on the Mediabase Alt chart.
MISSIO will be touring throughout the year making a number of eagerly awaited festival appearances throughout the spring, summer and fall including Hangout, Firefly and Austin City Limits. The band will also join MUSE and Thirty Seconds To Mars for an explosive one-night-only triple bill, slated for Thursday, June 15th at Charlotte, NC’s PNC Music Pavilion. The full itinerary is below.

MISSIO was founded in 2014 as a new sonic outlet for Colorado-born musician Matthew Brue and Houston, TX native David Butler, the two musicians teaming up to create something unlike anything either had done before. The duo’s widescreen amalgam of inventive production technique, lyrical wit, and endlessly insistent pop hooks instantly proved a sensation with “I Don’t Even Care About You” – featured on 2015’s debut MISSIO EP – rising to #7 on Spotify’s “Viral 50-Global” chart after first appearing on the automated “Fresh Finds” playlist.
The MISSIO EP was followed by “Can I Exist,” featured in a truly extraordinary companion video that earned such prizes as “Best Video” at 2016’s Austin Music Video Festival and the “Audience Award” at 2016’s New Orleans Film Festival. MISSIO’s remarkably cinematic sonic approach also earned them placement on a variety of soundtracks, including MTV’s Scream and Finding Carter, Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club, and Victoria’s Secret’s short film (and biggest lingerie shoot in history), Victoria’s Secret Holiday 2016: A Very Private Affair.
More than simply a studio project from the very start, MISSIO made a number of live appearances following their inception, including a much-discussed debut at 2015’s South By Southwest (SXSW). The duo followed up with a series of national treks, among them K. Flay’s sold-out “Crush Me Tour.”
