MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BRINGS LEGENDS FOR YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC SERIES TO PHOENIX
Free youth baseball clinic to feature Duffy Dyer, Ken Rudolph and other MLB Alumni
Colorado Springs, Colo. Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, March 28th, 2015. The free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth ages 6 16.
Players attending* include 1969 World Series champion Duffy Dyer and nine-year veteran Ken Rudolph, as well as Ethan Blackaby, Brett Merriman, Ken Retzer, Buddy Schultz, Mike Sember and Jim Umbarger. These 8 players combine for 42 years, 1,649 games and 789 hits in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Camelback Ranch, spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, runningfrom 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., located at 10710 West Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85037. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, baserunning and life skills. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.
