Inspiring Hope: Moments of Healing for our Wounded Troops

Our heroes suffer a range of injuries in battle, those that are readily visible and those that aren’t, but they don’t bear the burden of coping with these injuries alone – their families do, too.

Life-altering wounds. Years of recovery. These realities take a toll on military families.

This is where we can help. The USO partners with Stronger Families to help wounded troops and their spouses adjust to their new normal.

One military spouse said it best after a seminar at Ft. Drum: “[This program] has given me hope that things will work out where I have lost hope and patience.”

It’s your support that makes these outcomes possible.

In our online series, Inspiring Hope: Moments of Healing for our Wounded Troops, we’re sharing exclusive photos from Stronger Families seminars so you can see the difference innovative programs like this make in the lives of our wounded, ill and injured troops, and their families and caregivers.

We know these seminars are making a difference. In 2013, 93% of couples felt the information they learned during Stronger Families seminars would help make their relationship more resilient and assist them during the re-integration process.

It’s your support that makes things like this possible.

Thank you,

Brigadier General John I. Pray Jr., USAF (Ret.)
USO President and CEO
