Los Angeles – January 17, 2018 – HDNET MOVIES puts the spotlight on some of cinema’s most iconic, influential, and enduring Academy Award® winners in the third-annual “And The Oscar® Goes To… Presented By Richard Roeper” event—airing 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and featuring invaluable insight and entertaining introductions by noted film critic Richard Roeper. The monumental event begins on Friday, February 1, runs through the night of the 91st Academy Awards® Feb. 24 until the end of the month, Feb. 28.

Highlights of the month-long lineup include the eight-time Oscar®-winning biopic GANDHI (Feb. 1); Steven Spielberg’s Best Picture and Best Director-winning Holocaust drama SCHINDLER’S LIST (Feb. 2); a pair of Vietnam War epics featuring Francis Ford Coppola’s APOCALYPSE NOW, and Oliver Stone’s Best Picture and Best Director-winner PLATOON (Feb. 6); The Coen Brothers’ acclaimed crime thriller NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, starring Best Supporting Actor winner Javier Bardem (Feb. 8); and Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, which earned Ang Lee his first Best Directing award (Feb. 16).
