Mini-Concert & Lecture Series
February 10 from 7:30pm
voice and classical guitar concert
by Analise Skovmand and Pablo González Jazey
* free / open to the public, no reservations necessary
* Art Center Sarasota 707 N Tamiami Tr, Sarasota 34236
The Inca Rose Duo is comprised of soprano Annelise Skovmand and guitarist Pablo González Jazey. The Duo bridges the divide between classical and popular music by melding elements from both genres into new musical expressions. Performances include selections of original interpretations of both traditional and modern music for guitar and voice, ranging from Renaissance music to songs of the Beatles to American folk tunes. Formed in 1998, the Inca Rose Duo has performed at festivals and venues in Argentina and the United States, including at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. La Nación newspaper of Buenos Aires reported that the Duo achieves a “musically brilliant atmosphere”. Inca Rose Duo performed at our international concert series in 2006, and returned later in 2009 as Inca Rose Trio to Art Center Sarasota. In 2010, Pablo performed at the international concert series in duo with Thomas Koch.
