| This year’s funding is more critical than ever before as we move into this next school year facing unprecedented challenges. Our focus remains on supporting the greatest needs of our girls & families, and to that end we will be providing the following services:
Afterschool Program
Girls in our afterschool program will continue to receive the Girls Inc. Experience at our facility. Although we will have to limit the number of girls due to COVID-19; we continuously innovate our approach, all girls will be welcomed back to a safe, structured environment where they can build relationships, take safe risks, and develop life skills.
INSPIRE Remote Learning Academy
We will operate as a remote learning site during the day as an alternative for parents who are not ready for their girls to return to school, but are in need of support so they can work. Our staff will supervise girls participating in Remote Learning, troubleshoot technology issues, and provide a meaningful educational experience. We will offer lunch, coordinated activities during class breaks, and provide a much needed connection to each other in a smaller atmosphere.
School-Based Program
Since 2017, we have been providing interactive Outreach Programming at 16 schools across Sarasota County. Although we can no longer provide group programming due to restrictions, we will continue our partnership by providing Case Managers to schools who can offer mental health support through individual sessions with girls, referrals to our licensed therapists, and connecting families with community organizations
