“[von Grey] makes haunting, moody indie rock” – NYLON

“Forever Bound,” the new single from indie-alt band von Grey’s forthcoming EP, Panophobia, is out today. The stark, evocative track, laced with delicate piano work, spectral guitar tones and choir-like harmonies, gracefully captures the pain that follows the suicide of a loved one. It debuted on “Anything Anything with Rich Russo,” a New York City-based free form radio show that has also premiered songs by such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Tegan and Sara and fun. “Forever Bound” can be purchased HERE and is streaming HERE.

Jorgen Odegard’s striking remix of “Forever Bound” premiered on EDM.com today and can be heard HERE. Producer / DJ Odegard has received support from acts such as Major Lazer, Jack U, Baauer, and Party Favor and made his festival debut at 2015’s Mysteryland. Although Jorgen’s music is ever evolving, he is best known for his cinematic trap. His collaboration with Bro Safari is set to release within the next few months.

Panophobia, which was produced by Dan Hannon (Manchester Orchestra, A Rocket to the Moon), will be released on August 14. The EP is available for pre-order HERE. von Grey will play a hometown EP release party on August 22 at Aisle 5 In Atlanta’s Little Five Points district. Tickets are available HERE. While the EP’s title means “fear of everything” and reflects the theme of insecurity or uncertainty threaded throughout the songs, Panophobia in fact represents von Grey’s bold and undaunted progression into new sonic terrain. It follows 2014’s Awakening, praised by PopMatters as “ethereal pop music, unencumbered by genre.”

“This band of sisters from Atlanta, Georgia, makes haunting, moody indie rock,” said NYLON, which premiered the video for “Katie,” another track from Panophobia. “von Grey is the anything but stereotypical sister quartet,” said AfterEllen.com, which praised the clip as a “haunting video that highlights the often overlooked world of domestic violence, emotional and otherwise, in queer relationships.” The LYNOS remix of “Katie,” which can be heard on SoundCloud, created a buzz, with Proximity proclaiming, “I was instantly blown away” and KnackForTracks.com noting, “The emotion is just seeping through each and every drop, as this guitar driven future bass rendition exceeds all expectations!”

von Grey – made up of sisters Annika (vocals, violin, guitar, keys), Fiona (vocals, guitar, violin, percussion), Petra (keys, electronic percussion, background vocals) and Kathryn (cello, bass pedals, keys, background vocals) – has toured nationally with the Indigo Girls, Lindsey Stirling, Ron Pope and Rusted Root, among others, and performed at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, SXSW, Gathering of the Vibes and Shaky Knees. The band made its late night television debut on “Late Show with David Letterman” and performed on “Conan” in support of their self-titled debut EP.
