(Los Angeles, CA – August 21, 2015) UK based electronic music group, Faithless, is celebrating its remarkable 20 year career with the release of a special remix album, “Faithless 2.0”, out on October 2, 2015, and available for pre-order now at all digital retail providers.
Throughout the band’s journey over two decades, Buddhist rapper, Maxi Jazz, multi-instrumentalist, Sister Bliss, and producer, Rollo Armstrong, have recorded six studio albums with total sales exceeding 15 million records worldwide. From headlining major festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella to sold-out international tours, and creating classic electronic anthems like “Insomnia”, “Mass Destruction”, “We Come 1”, and “God Is A DJ”, Faithless has become one of the most iconic dance acts of all time.
To honor the band’s illustrious career, “Faithless 2.0” calls on some of the biggest names in contemporary dance music to remix their infamous catalogue. Collaborators on the album such as Avicii, Above & Beyond, Booka Shade, Tiesto, Eric Prydz, Armin Van Buuren, and more have both influenced and been inspired by the group, allowing Faithless to become a tastemaker to the newer artists of dance music. The album will serve as a platform to showcase up and coming talent, and will include some brand new Faithless music, as well as an array of standout tracks including Avicii’s rework of the legendary “Insomnia” titled “Insomnia 2.0”.
