Hosted by telenovela star Aylin Mujica, “Top Chef Estrellas” also features Lorena García, the famous Hispanic chef, television host and author, who participated in the fourth season of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.” García will judge the competition along with James Beard Award-nominated chefs and television hosts Jaime Martin Del Campo and Ramiro Arvizu, owners of the acclaimed Los Angeles restaurant “La Casita Mexicana.” Viewers will have the opportunity to get to know the celebrity participants on a more personal level as they compete for the Top Chef crown and $100,000 for the charity of their choice. As part of its adaptation for a Hispanic audience, contestants eliminated from “Top Chef Estrellas” become Sous Chefs instead of being sent home.

Following each episode, the after show “Suelta La Sopa Extra” will review the evening’s developments on “Top Chef Estrellas” with cast members, offering never-before-seen exclusives and a look at the action to come. A blend of cooking and entertainment, “Suelta La Sopa Extra” also brings in two special guests for a face-off in the kitchen, with an unexpected surprise for the losing guest.

Produced by Emmy award-winning production house Magical Elves and shot in New Orleans on the same kitchen and with the same crew as the Bravo version, “Top Chef Estrellas” blends the best of Bravo’s franchise with a few twists for the Hispanic market.
