Eastman School of Music, at the University of Rochester, announces the new Advanced Diploma in Concertmaster Studies, providing intensive and focused study with Juliana Athayde, Associate Professor of Violin and Concertmaster for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO).
Athayde says, “It’s gratifying to be able to share the insights I have learned over the past twenty years as a professional concertmaster. This unique and innovative program will provide students with a real-world understanding of what goes into this multifaceted career path.”
The curriculum is designed to prepare the most highly qualified candidates for a career as concertmaster of a professional orchestra and can be completed in one year of full-time study.
