After a highly successful string of performances on Macy Gray’s “The Way Tour 2014,” Cary NoKey, the electro-dance group fronted by 8bit, the producer of Lady Gaga‘s Grammy winning The Fame album has announced that they will support Macy Gray through the remainder of her US tour.

“Now or Never”, the new single from its debut album due out this fall is available now on iTunes via Sea To Sun Records. The remix package includes mixes by David Vendetta, Bimbo Jones, Oliver Schmitz & Micah Sherman, Killer Dolls, ValNtino, as well as the Tenishia mix that recently premiered on superstar DJ Armin Van Buuren’s “A State of Trance” radio show.
“Now or Never’s” passion is depicted in the life or death kisses featured in the song’s music video. “The original concept behind the video came from memorable kisses I had seen in motion pictures like Gone with the Wind, Ghost and Brokeback Mountain,” explains 8bit. “I was captivated by the idea of how oftentimes that which we desire so madly leads to death and the undesired result ultimately saves us.”
Cary NoKey is fronted by former record producer Rob Fusari who now goes by the name 8bit. As Fusari, he produced some of the biggest smashes in pop music including Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” and Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West”. He also produced and co-wrote five songs on Lady Gaga’s The Fame album including “Paparazzi”.
Earlier this year he shed his suit and tie skin and metamorphosed into the decadent pop rocker he is today. His band, Cary NoKey, is designed to be more than a musical act. It is a visually mesmerizing theatrical music show that keeps fans wondering, gasping, and excited for what could possibly come next. “I like to think of Cary Nokey as a cross between Liberace meets David Bowie, “says 8bit. “I’m finally able to convey my story through the lyrics and sentiment of the music.”
Fans at the “The Way Tour 2014” will be treated to live performances of Cary NoKey’s version of “Paparazzi” and their recent smash, “Be Who U R.”
