DJ Cassidy To Embark on North American Tour with USHER this Upcoming Fall

DJ Cassidy has announced he will be joining Usher on a North American arena tour this fall. Cassidy will be the special guest on all dates, kicking off in Montreal, Quebec at the Bell Centre on Nov. 1, and continuing through New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and more! (See below for full tour routing).

Cassidy is hitting the road with his live band in anticipation of his upcoming debut album, Paradise Royale, releasing later this year. The album’s first single, “Calling All Hearts” featuring Robin Thicke & Jessie J hit #6 on the UK Official Charts, while the album’s second single, “Make The World Go Round” featuring R. Kelly hit top ten on the US Urban AC chart. PRESS HERE to check out “Calling All Hearts” and PRESS HERE to check out “Make The World Go Round.”

“I set out on a mission to bring the greatest and most universal dance music of all time back to the airwaves, back to nightlife, back to the dance floor,” proclaims Cassidy.

To achieve his mission, Cassidy reunited twenty-two of the most legendary musicians of the late 1970s and early 1980s for the first time in over thirty years to capture the sound of their prolific era using no covers, no samples, no interpolations, and no machines. The iconic list of musicians includes Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Larry Dunn of Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, John “JR” Robinson and Bobby Watson of Rufus, Patrice Rushen, Ray Parker Jr, Nile Rodgers of Chic, and many more. Cassidy then recruited thirteen of the most revered and diverse recording artists from his own era to write and record original songs. The astounding list of artists includes Robin Thicke, Jessie J, R. Kelly, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Passion Pit, Chromeo, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland, Melanie Fiona, Estelle, and John Legend. The result is an epic opus of celebration whose inescapable rhythm and explosive spirit moves everybody within its reach.

”The superstar spinner’s 10-song set offers a collision of old and new schools as he pairs hot contemporary singers with players from R&B dance music’s glory years”

“A stellar lineup of classic-era dance musicians and modern-day singers.”

Rolling Stone

“A slice of retro heaven anchored by contemporary pop production.”
