The dynamic Giancarlo Guerrero leads a stirring program ranging from late Romantic to 20th-century composers influenced by classical forms. Curtis alumna Bella Hristova is the soloist in Bernstein’s effervescent Serenade inspired by Plato’s Symposium and Curtis conducting fellow Edward Poll* leads the orchestra in the Appalachian Spring Suite.

Curtis-PCMS Collaborations

For over two decades, the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and Curtis have shared a close relationship. Each season PCMS concerts feature countless Curtis alumni, faculty, and students. PCMS also sponsors master classes at Curtis by internationally renowned artists and, thanks to a generous gift from the Lenfest Foundation, all Curtis students are able to attend PCMS concerts free of charge.
